Reuters – iPhone 5S delayed as coating material . Earlier this morning, we learnt that Apple has returned the 8 million iPhone units to the famous iPhone manufacturer,Foxconn in China.
We are unaware of the main issues, but it is being said that these were not fit for sale. Returning of this huge amount of iPhone has cost the manufacturer a loss of approximately $1 billion.
Many researchers and analysts were pointing out the August as the release month of iPhone 5S. This return was one of the main reasons behind the delay of iPhone 5S release.
But this news has changed all the rumors and reports. Adding fuel to injury, a report from Reuters states that Apple will not release the iPhone 5S in this summer because various coating materials are interfering with the finger print sensor of iPhone 5S. The biggest change in iPhone 5S will be the introduction of Finger Print sensor but currently they couldn’t find a perfect coating material which can coat this new Finger Print sensor.

It was also assumed that iPhone 5S production will start in June but now the things will little change because the production of iPhone 5S is delayed.
Here’s what they posted about production:
The phone, widely referred to as the iPhone 5S, is expected to include new features such as a fingerprint sensor.
A supply chain source in Taiwan said Apple was trying to find a coating material that did not interfere with the fingerprint sensor, and this may be causing a delay.
